This page explains what cookies are, which cookies this site uses and how you can control them. It supplements the privacy policy.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Cookies are used to remember preferences, keep state between visits and, sometimes, for measurement and advertising.
Cookies stored by this site
As at the date this page was updated, the site stores one cookie:
- rm_consent — a strictly necessary cookie holding your cookie consent choice, so you are not asked again on every visit. It lasts 12 months and contains no identifying information.
Local storage in your browser
Besides the cookie, the site stores one key in your browser's local storage:
- rm_a11y — holds the accessibility settings you choose in the accessibility menu (text size, contrast, motion and so on) so they persist between visits. It stays on your device, is never sent to us and contains no identifying information. You can clear it with the "Reset settings" button in the accessibility menu, or by clearing your browser data.
What this site does not do
The site runs no measurement or analytics tools, uses no advertising pixels or cookies, and shares no data with advertising networks or social networks.
The WhatsApp button in the corner of the screen loads nothing from Meta's servers, stores no cookie and reports no visit. On a computer it opens a panel showing a QR code served by this site, and beyond that it is an outbound link and nothing more; information reaches WhatsApp only if you choose to open a chat.
If measurement tools are added in future, they will not run before your explicit opt-in consent, and this page will be updated accordingly. That approach follows the Privacy Protection Authority's position on informed consent in the digital environment.
Managing your consent
On your first visit a choice panel appears, letting you accept or reject non-essential cookies. Nothing is pre-ticked, and rejecting is offered as prominently as accepting.
You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie settings" link at the foot of every page.
Blocking cookies in your browser
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies through its privacy settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookie will cause the consent panel to reappear on every visit.
